Eggy's Games

Another old game review of my crappy old game called - Furball. I don't think this game even has much redeeming qualities. You eat stuff, try not to die... that's about it. The only great thing about it is the main character being an adorable Furball. He is featured in many Eggy's Games promo pics even though he comes from such a horrible game.... but hey no one knows that....except for you now reading this...but no one actually reads what I write..........do they?

Cute Graphics

The games graphics are a dive through time, showing the old school paint brush style. It does make really good screenshots for some reason. It's kinda weird the stuff you learn from random games, the bright colours seem to really look nice in a screenshot for thumbnails. Take from that what you will.

The furball himself is just lovable and he gets bigger as you eat.

Gameplay Eat to Get Bigger

The gameplay itself was based off an awesome Flash game called Fishy. You just had to eat fish to get bigger, it worked well as a fish game and I was curious if it worked well in a platformer....turns out it doesn't. At all. Woops.

Cute Level Design

Overall I do like looking at the old graphics backgrounds. The suns get a new face every level. I end up adopting this design into something better later on in my game Last Egg Alive. It is interesting to see where little roots of design come from, even though it sucked in this game, eventually I used it in the clouds of my future games like Eggy's Big Adventure and it worked great. It's a good example of finding the small things that work and keeping them, while discarding the stuff that sucked.

Summary

Overall the game kinda is bad. You are once again reading this article going, sigh I want my time back. I literally hate this dude. He sucks....and you are right....for that time period. But perhaps bare with me until the articles on the newer games get better and you might like me.......or just hate me less.
